Ridiculous B!tch is the brainchild of NYC-based rock n roller production team Jimmie Marlowe and Karen Xerri born out of the 2020 pandemic. Both international touring veterans, entertainers and classically-trained multi-instrumentalists share an intense passion for equally groundbreaking and notoriously controversial acts which have shaped and shifted music history.

Ridiculous Bitch draws  on rock, glam, pop-punk and lyrical. The result culminating in a perfect blend of the familiar and avant-garde; a highly unique sound accessible to the masses and cerebral enough to appeal to the rest of us while never (EVER) taking themselves too seriously.

Ridiculous Bitch's uniquely eclectic style has been infused by the idiosyncratic duo's strongest influences including Foxy Shazam, Biffy Clyro, Patti Smith, Bowie, PJ Harvey, Van Morrison, Peaches, Nick Cave, Portishead, and Lightnin' Hopkins. The result is music that's both easily accessible and groundbreaking. Music that creates tension and inspires thought.

Xerri's background in pop-rock (Gloria Blue), blues, electronic (Elliott Sharp) and classical offers a perfect counterpoint to Marlowe’s roots in glam rock, and metal.

And, while spreading oneself too stylistically thin in this new world of instant, personally-curated-playlists might open up a highly versatile group like Ridiculous Bitch up to a pitfall of musical obscurity, the duo's music manages to avoid it brilliantly. The music is uniquely their own. And it is unforgettable.

While having the appeal of familiarity (in the form of respectful nods to the legendary game-changers of rock history), the music is undeniably tied together by a very strong, uncontrived, and most importantly, highly unique stylistic thread that will move listeners.

The eccentric duo transitions effortlessly from the heavy-hitting tongue-in-cheek, anthemic glam-rock crowd pleasers like Johnny5, Forget Murder, and america into harder spins on crooners with the same gritty edge like “Blackout”. Think a bit of The Raconteurs thrown in with some early Queen as you stumble upon Marlowe's melodically brilliant guitar solos and full orchestration as well as the 75+ happily overwhelming harmony segments  of a bold little blonde clad in leather and lace.

Chances are that you have heard their individual work at some point or another. Xerri works under a host of names on her composition, film scoring, anime and video game projects. Marlowe has been on the scene from San Diego to Brooklyn, founding and slaying in countless projects including Bambi & The Doorbells. He composed and starred  in the critically acclaimed Goodbar (NYT), which premiered at The Public Theater featuring a ludicrous number of notables including Moby. They are both ecstatic to have joined forces to bring you Ridiculous Bitch. And they are ready to come on out and serve these tracks to you on a silver platter.
