NEW NOISE MAGAZINE (June 2023)
“NYC based Ridiculous Bitch is the most memorable outfit we’ve come across in recent memory-living up to their audacious name with a musical style that is equal parts punk, NYC grunge and glamorous rock and roll. Their latest offering is GRANADA, an ambitious full-length album featuring the drumming talents of Brian Viglione (The World / Inferno Friendship Society, Violent Femmes, The Dresden Dolls) on select songs alongside Ridiculous Bitch’s founding duo Karen Xerri and Jimmie Marlowe.”
“GRANADA is chock full of the sort of bombastic rock that might be familiar to fans of The New York Dolls, The Raconteurs, David Bowie and Foxy Shazam, with impressive production that blurs the line between DIY and big studio sound.”
“Official videos for focus tracks “Johnny 5”, “Blackout”, and “America” showcase Xerri and Marlowe’s keen sense of visual creativity and add a third dimension to an already compelling release. We strongly suggest checking out the band’s YouTube channel.”
THE YOUNG ONES (May 2023)
"Brimming with pop-punk savors, “Tall Tales” rides a punchy, driving rhythm topped by Xerri’s sassy vocals, ranging from soft and melodic to caustic inflections. “Joker” blends the raw austerity of the White Stripes with the thrumming clout of Lady Gaga, while Xerri’s wicked, deep tones infuse the lyrics with portentous, mysterious tints.
"Skintight, taut with primordial patterns, and gravitational tones, the icing on the cake called Ridiculous B!tch is the bravura voice of Karen Xerri.”

OUR STORY.
Ridiculous B!tch is the brainchild of New York City-based production team Karen Xerri and Jimmie Marlowe, born from the isolation days of the pandemic, drawing on ‘equal parts punk, NYC grunge and glamorous rock and roll’ (New Noise Magazine).
Both international touring veterans by thier teenage years, the two eccentric entertainers and classically-trained multi-instrumentalists share an intense passion for groundbreaking and notoriously controversial acts which have shaped and shifted music history.
The result culminating in a perfect blend of the familiar and avant-garde; a highly unique sound - accessible to the masses and cerebral enough to appeal to the rest of us while never taking itself too seriously.
Joined by powerhouse musicians Dominick Martes, Jonny D, Lock Driver & Don W. Berger from Marlowe’s longtime former project, Ridiculous Bitch's uniquely eclectic style has been infused by the idiosyncratic duo's strongest influences including Betty Davis, Bowie, Patti Smith, PJ Harvey, Nick Cave, Biffy Clyro and The Raconteurs.
The result is music that's easily accessible and groundbreaking… music that creates tension and inspires thought, tied together by an undeniable thread.
And, while spreading oneself too stylistically thin in this new world of instant, personally-curated-playlists might open up a highly versatile group like Ridiculous Bitch up to a pitfall of musical obscurity, the duo's music manages to avoid it brilliantly.
The music is uniquely their own. And it is unforgettable.
GRANADA
The eccentric duo transitions effortlessly from the heavy-hitting tongue-in-cheek (Lucky Penny & Joker), anthemic glam-rock crowd pleasers like Johnny 5, Forget Murder, and America into harder spins on crooners with the same gritty edge like “Blackout”. Think a bit of The Raconteurs thrown in with some early Queen as you stumble upon Marlowe's melodically brilliant guitar solos and full orchestration as well as vocal polyphonies reminiscent of ELO.
Xerri's background in pop-rock (Gloria Blue), blues, electronic (Elliott Sharp) and classical music offers a perfect counterpoint to Marlowe’s roots in glam rock, and metal.
Chances are that you have heard their individual work at some point or another. Xerri works under a host of names on her composition, film scoring, anime and video game projects. Marlowe has been on the scene from San Diego to Brooklyn, founding and slaying in countless projects including Bambi & The Doorbells. He composed and starred in the critically acclaimed Goodbar (NYT), which premiered at The Public Theater featuring a ludicrous number of notables including Moby. They are both ecstatic to have joined forces to bring you Ridiculous Bitch. And they are ready to come on out and serve these tracks to you on a silver platter along with the team of incredible artists they will be collaborating with this year including renowned set designer and artist Masha Gvozdov, DC Comics Taylan Kurtulus, and many more!
